This abstract composition stages a tense dialogue between molten reds and ember oranges and the abrupt, soot-dark verticals that cleave the surface like shutters or monoliths. The paint’s gestural layering feels simultaneously volcanic and controlled, creating corridors of light that flare up and then are immediately contained, as if emotion is being negotiated at the edge of restraint. In the ambiguous silhouettes and fractured planes, the work suggests a psychological landscape—heat, proximity, and interruption—where intimacy and obstruction coexist in the same breath.
