




Set of three lacquered sindoor boxes from Andhra Pradesh or Maharashtra, probably made using mango wood. Sindoor, also spelled as sindhoor, is a traditional vermilion powder from India, commonly used to mark auspicious occassions or as a visual marker of marital status in women.Β
