The S-500 series also features a semi-hollow model. This luxurious six-stringer features vintage styling and characteristic G&L tone. It comes with a semi-acoustic double-cut body made of swamp ash. Flat top is decorated with a bog plastic pickguard and one "f" hole on the bass side of the bridge. Bridge is G&L standard tremolo bridge. It is a dual fulcrum bridge with chrome-plated brass saddles and string-through construction. Reliable locking tuners with 16:1 gear ratio are installed on the headstock, helping to keep this exquisite six-stringer in perfect tune. Three Magnetic Field Design single coil pickups are installed in front of the bridge. Maple neck is traditionally equipped with a bolt-on joint. 22-fret fingerboard can be made of both the maple and rosewood.
