Padmapani is a Bodhisattva, depicted in cave 1 at Ajanta Caves. A Sanskrit word, Padmapani literaly translates to 'the one who holds the lotus'. Sangeeta has reimagined Padmapani in a more contemporary form on this canvas, using brilliant textures and detailing.
The canvas size is 15 inches (diameter). With the frame, the diameter is 21 inches. The frame is painted using 23.75kt gold leaf and finished with lacquer work.
