A Curious Encounter Art Print

This intriguing 16th-century illustration features a pineapple alongside a centipede. The pineapple,  titled  “Ananas” in multiple languages at the top,  is shown in great detail.  Its rough,  brown exterior is textured to indicate the spiky protuberances of the fruit.  Green leaves crown the top of the pineapple.  A long,  sinuous centipede with numerous legs winds its way across the lower portion of the pineapple. The juxtaposition of the pineapple and centipede creates a sense of wonder and curiosity.

These prints are printed on a fine quality ivory paper.
