Presumed to be a first edition, 1930 printing. Please see fifth image. This copy also states there are 80 tafeln (plates), when later editions, ie from 1952, have 92. I have been unable to find other examples with this cover. 

Beautifully illustrated throughout featuring type design from traditional Roman and blackletter, through to progressive Art Deco and modernist styles.

Poor condition of cover as shown in photos. Some damage and foxing inside, but overall in fair condition internally. Please see photos.
