Vintage Bergan Leather Backpack (Saddle Tan)

Handcrafted Vintage Bergan Backpack, century-old durability re-constructed to combine function, comfort, and exceptional quality.

 

Made with thick Full-grain buffalo leather & anti-rust Brass Hardware, materials age beautifully with time developing a rich patina.

 

Inspired by the first backpacks ever made & later on used in World War II crafted by Ole F.Bergan in 1908 they got their name Bergan's backpack more popularly known as the Norwegian backpack. Originally made from leather the Bergans pack was later made from canvas. The design was later used by the British Army in 1940 popularly known as the "British Army Bergen Rucksack"

• Straps made of 10 0z (4mm) thick full-grain waxed buffalo leather sourced from LWG gold-certified tannery.
