Wild Basil in Double Bloom Art Print

This intricately detailed botanical illustration from around 1600 depicts a  “Koekoeksbloem” (Silene dioica), also known as the red campion or wild basil.  The illustration showcases two  specimens of the flower: a single pink flower on the left and a double pink flower on the right.  Both flowers have  four  deeply  lobed petals and  delicate  yellow stamens at their center.  The  slender green  stems  branch out from  hairy  basal  leaves.

These prints are printed on a fine quality ivory paper.
