This work stages a quiet drama between mass and disappearance: a weighty circular band hovers like a relic of stability, yet its surface dissolves into particulate dust as if the form is being unmade by time. The composition’s off-center void reads not as emptiness but as a withheld center—an aperture where meaning is suspended—while the granular fields around it suggest migration, erosion, and the porousness of boundaries. Subtle shifts of cool slate and bruised taupe create a muted radiance, turning the ring into both halo and threshold, a meditation on how permanence is only ever an agreement with entropy.
