Silk is cultivated from the cocoon of the mulberry silkworm larvae. It is lightweight, breathable fabric, known for its surprising strength, elasticity and high absorbency. Silk fibres are smooth and straight, which makes silk fabric smooth to the touch, shiny and luxurious.
