Sashiko is a beautiful and simple style of Japanese hand embroidery. Sashiko thread is made from 100% fine Egyptian cotton. This thick, sturdy cotton thread is ideal for Sashiko samplers, visible mending projects, decorative hand quilting, hand embroidery and more. 

The "Short Pitch" Variegated series of Olympus Sashiko thread offers a quicker transition between colors with the shade variations occurring every 2-4 cm. This is ideal for smaller scale projects or projects where you would like add greater depth of color.
