Tyagaraja, also known as Tyāgayya, was an acclaimed composer of Carnatic music, and a pivotal influence in the development of India’s renowned classical music tradition. Known for his prolific range of compositions that flourished in the court of Tanjore in the early 19th century, Tyagaraja’s immense body of work makes him one of the greatest immortals in Indian music.
