Cafè Chantant is an interpretation of vanilla in its most sensual nuance and brings with it a breath of joie de vivre which, starting from Paris, arrives in Italy during the Belle Epoque. The Cafè Chantants season began, where even the ladies became regular visitors to admire and imitate the movements and clothing of the chanteuses, the queens of the stage. The word was soon Italianized into "sciantosa" as if to underline the charm and almost flirtatious femininity of the protagonists.
