'Chitrealekha' lehenga and βPrabhaβ blouse in Varanasi silk brocade feature weave that is drawn from our textile archives, made using the elaborate Kadwa technique, where each motif is woven separately in a 'jangla' pattern. It has a play of Meenakari on the trellis of flowers, inspired by printed textiles such as kalamkari chintz depicting flora and fauna. Shivani pairs it with sheer organza βUnnaoβ odhani with all-over hand-embroidered Mughal leaf βjaalβ and kiran along the border.
This lehenga is paired with 'Parigul' odhani
Odhani worn by the model is not included.
Natural variations in colours and weave are part of the textile, as it is handwoven.
