Chitrealekha' lehenga and βPrabhaβ blouse in Varanasi silk brocade feature weave that is drawn from our textile archives, made using the elaborate Kadwa technique, where each motif is woven separately in a 'jangla' pattern. It has a play of Meenakari on the trellis of flowers, inspired by printed textiles such as kalamkari chintz depicting flora and fauna. Shivani pairs it with sheer organza βUnnaoβ odhani with all-over hand-embroidered Mughal leaf βjaalβ and kiran along the border.
This set includes lehenga and blouse.
Natural variations in colours and weave are part of the textile, as it is handwoven.
