The BMW E9X rear suspension is very complex, with five links on each side. One of them, the trailing arm, connects the subframe to the main axle via rubber bushings.
The factory rubber bushings are prone to deformation during aggressive driving (braking, accelerating and cornering), resulting in drastic changes in the bunching angle, triggering handling instability and deflection, which seriously affects the sporty performance.
