'Kusumal' sari in electric blue Varanasi silk brocade features an all over placement of butis that take their form from the peacock. The motifs are woven in the elaborate Kadwa technique, where each motif is woven individually utilizing an extra weft insertion, and the reverse of the textile reveals the absence of thread floats. The wide border is woven with silver and gold zari in equal part, speaking to the Ganga Jamuni tehzeeb of the Awadh.
The sari here is paired with 'Gulshan' blouse.
