A hand-tufted carpet in red wool with geometric pattern, the pile construction built up in modular, repeated shapes across the surface. Geometric carpets work in contained vocabulary β diamonds, grids, chevrons, stepped borders β woven without the naturalistic complexity of floral or figurative work. Red anchors this one, the colour reading warm and saturated, suited to interiors that can take a bit of weight on the floor. Tufting builds a denser pile than flatweave, the yarn punched into a backing and finished from above in the tradition of Uttar Pradesh carpet making. Woven in Bhadohi or Mirzapur on hand-tufting looms. The technique sits between fine craft and architectural finish, the pile dense enough to cushion the floor and absorb sound in living rooms or bedrooms where the carpet does both decorative and functional work.
