Sultanah' turquoise Mashru sari features a border with a tactile weave pattern known as "ilayacha", derived from elaichi (cardamom), referencing its scale, and a selvedge at the opposite edge. Composed of a silk warp and weft, the Mashru weave results in a smooth silk satin surface that is loved and recognized for its possibilities, sumptuous tactility, and otherworldly lustre.
