'Sultanah' red Mashru sari features a border with a tactile weave pattern known as "ilayacha", derived from elaichi (cardamom), referencing its scale, and a blue selvedge at the opposite edge. Composed of a silk warp and weft, the Mashru weave results in a smooth silk satin surface that is loved and recognized for its possibilities, sumptuous tactility, and otherworldly lustre.
The sari is paired here with the 'Sayuri' blouse.
Blouse worn by the model is not included.
Natural variations in colours and weave are part of the textile, as it is handwoven.
