In Hinduism, Nandi is the name of the bull who serves as the mount and gatekeeper of Lord Shiva and Parvati. All over India, temples dedicated to Shiva generally have a seated Nandi displayed at the entrance. Made of sawdust and papier-mΓ’chΓ©, this polychromatic figure of Nandi is from Andhra Pradesh. An old collectible, it has undergone normal wear with slight loss of colour in patches, but is in a good condition.
