Rosewood Jewellery Box with Brass Trim 02

This stunning Kerala brass-bound rosewood jewellery box has beautiful brass decoration. The exterior and corners are also reinforced with brass banding on the edges, both for decoration and protection. On the sides are brass carrying handles. The inside of the box is equally striking with multiple lidded compartments. The lids have been decorated with red, green, and black fabric, and each has a brass handle with a stylised flower base. The central compartment has a glass lid for display and the inside of the main lid of the box also has a mirror. The key has been lost at some time in its life.
