Madonna With Folded Hands

Madonna refers to Mary, the mother of Jesus. She is often depicted with an infant Jesus, or by herself. This wooden carving from Tamil Nadu depicts Madonna with folded hands, standing on a base that features three faces. An old collectible, a portion of the base is slightly damaged. The piece is otherwise in good condition.
