This highly detailed image is an oleograph of Vishwavirat Swarupam by A. Thirumal Rao, from Secunderabad. It was published in 1935 by M. Thimmiah Sresty, who was himself an artist. This image depicts vishvarupa an “encompassing of all forms” of Vishnu as described in the Bhagavad Gita, when Krishna appears in his cosmic form to Arjuna. In this aspect, the deity represents the whole universe, and is the embodiment of every conceivable manifested form.
