Divided like a diptych of memory and erasure, the work sets a pale, scarred field against a deep nocturnal ground, as if consciousness oscillates between what can be confessed and what must remain encrypted. Faint inscriptions, ghosted figures, and geometric tracings emerge only partially, their fragments interrupted by abrasion and silence, suggesting language at the edge of disappearance. A chalk-like linear structure stretches across the darkness like a suspended scaffold or tether, while the circular, marbled form at right reads as both wound and portalβan opening where meaning accretes, fractures, and returns. The composition holds a tense intimacy: evidence of touch and time becomes the subject, turning the surface into an archaeological site of lost narratives.
