This is a reverse glass painting from southern India.
An infant Krishna is shown seated on a golden throne with his left hand around a butter pot, and his right hand holding a ball of butter. He is flanked by Yashoda and Rohini, both gorgeously robed and jewelled. Krishna, naked but for his dazzling jewellery, sits in a hall with draped curtains hanging from the ceiling. As always, Krishna is portrayed as a chubby child, a part of his hair tied in a topknot adorned by jewels and a peacock feather. His back rests on a large bolster.
