Before the gods lived in the skies, they did in a pair of trees—in embrace—the tree of life and the tree of knowledge. One couldn’t tell which needed the other more. Where one tree began and the other ended. Was knowledge dependant on life or was it the other way around? And amidst this eternal question the gods battled the snakes and held their place amongst the branches of life and knowledge.
