Story

She hurried to the door to answer the insistent ringing of the doorbell. But, when she opened it, all she saw was a bunch of blossoms and a note on the doormat. The note said, ˜make a wish and see it come true with each blooming bud. She counted 30 buds in all and hurriedly placed the flowers in a vase

Although she was 50 now, the child within her made her write a wish and stick it to the fridge. The wishes were random “ she wanted to read a book, get her hair done, get a makeover, go hiking, call her childhood friends, see a rainbow and dance in the rain¦ the list went on. Every day, a bud bloomed and she fulfilled her own wish. After 29 days, she made a wish to find true love. The next day, when she went downstairs to the vase, the bud hadnt bloomed. She felt sad, thinking it was a sign that she would never find true love. Thats when she touched the bud. To her surprise, it was made of silk. Thats when she realised that all her wishes over the last 29 days had made her fall in love with herself. She realised that true love lies in self-love. You can never feel lonely or feel sad if you love yourself, truly, madly and deeply.
