Hewn from a single block, the sculpture stages a dialogue between brute geology and intimate interiority: a weathered outer skin holds a luminous void, as if absence itself has been patiently quarried into presence. Sunlight skates across the chalky surface and sinks into the polished cavity, where faint, script-like markings read as the residue of memoryβlanguage not spoken aloud but held within the stoneβs quiet chamber. Its elongated aperture invites the eye to pass through and return, turning the work into a threshold between exterior landscape and inward contemplation, between permanence and the ceaseless erosion that gives form.
