Dominated by bold lines and strokes of the powerful imagery of horses in motion, this work evokes a visceral sense of upheaval and transformation. Laxman Aelay uses the horse as a symbol of freedom and strength. It represents a revolutionary figure, torn between chaos and creation. Above and around the central horse, human-like and animal-like forms appear to observe, flee, or participate in the turmoil. Their distorted anatomy and the surrounding surreal figures suggest a feeling of struggle β a rebellion not just against oppression, but against confinement itself. The horse gallops through the wreckage of the past, carrying with it the promise and peril of revolution, reminding us that every act of liberation comes with both beauty and brutality.
