Battle Field

A volatile band of molten yellows and ochres cleaves the surface like a fissure of light, while soot-dark passages and watery blues press in from the edges, creating a tense choreography between ignition and dissolution. The paint behaves as both substance and event—poured, scraped, and allowed to run—so that gravity becomes a quiet collaborator, etching rivulets that read like roots, veins, or rain on glass. Beneath the turbulence, the brick-like block of earthen red anchors the composition, a manmade memory resisting the elemental surge around it. The work ultimately proposes a meditation on transformation: how structures—psychic or urban—are repeatedly weathered, burnt through, and remade by forces that cannot be contained.
