A single, totemic vessel rises against a saturated green field, its cut-paper geometry and burnished ochres lending the form the gravity of an icon. Bands of fine, rhythmic striation read like sediment or waterlines—time made visible—while the diagonal mast cleaves the body with a quiet insistence, turning stillness into a poised, forward motion. Small accents of red and a petal-like flare suggest both wound and ornament, as if the object carries memory and ceremony in the same breath. The work feels less like a depiction of a boat than a meditation on passage: an inward journey held in balance between earthbound texture and open, luminous space.
