A hand-tufted carpet in beige and multicolor wool with traditional pattern, the all-over motifs drawing from the Indo-Persian vocabulary that has moved through South Asian weaving for centuries. Traditional carpets work in layered complexity β medallions, borders, spandrels, dense ground filled with florals and vine work β built up in pile construction. Beige anchors this one, the multicolor accents reading against the neutral field without overwhelming it. Tufting builds pile by punching yarn into a backing, the technique producing denser surface than flatweave and faster execution than knotting. Woven in Bhadohi or Mirzapur by artisans working hand-tufting looms in the Uttar Pradesh tradition. The traditional pattern suits living rooms, bedrooms, sitting areas where classic vocabulary works in interiors that can accommodate ornament on the floor.
