Originally a turban craft rooted in the celebration of monsoon, Laheriya is a tie-dye tradition from Rajasthan. The animation inherent in dyed stripes results in a sense of movement akin to rainfall.
'Saiwad' kota silk lehenga features dyed stripes in rani pink, lime and white - drawing from 'Pachranga' which is a Laheriya striped pattern composed of five colors. It has an all-over placement of small zardozi flowers embroidered with gold zari, and a rani pink border.
This handwoven textile reflects natural variations within yarn, color, weave and/or embroidery.
This lehenga is paired with 'Ewad' blouse.
Blouse is not included.
