A hand-woven jute dhurrie in black and natural β jute fiber woven into geometric pattern on a flatweave ground. Jute is a coarse, durable natural fiber suited to high-traffic areas: rougher to the touch than wool or cotton, it ages well and holds up to weight and wear. Woven in Bhadohi or Mirzapur by dhurrie artisans working in the Uttar Pradesh flatweave tradition. The black and natural contrast β undyed jute against dyed black β reads graphic and contained. Dhurries are woven flat without pile, lighter than knotted carpets. The jute texture is coarse and tactile. Suited to entryways, high-traffic zones, or layered under other rugs. 100% jute, flatweave.
