Story

Each monsoon, shed spent at least a few afternoons tearing up the pages of old notebooks and fashioning each into a boat. Shed then launch her little fleet in the stream near their house, and watch the boats bob away until she could no longer see them. She imagined theyd get into all sorts of adventures. Perhaps theyd plunge down steep waterfalls, towards gigantic whirlpools. She wondered if they would survive these whirlpools; she hoped they would. Or, perhaps they kept sailing until they reached the open sea, where they would meet other little boats just like them from all over the world. Each boat had its story. And, although she could never be certain of how each story ended, she knew it was magnificent in its own right.

Handloom cotton is handwoven by our weavers on mechanical looms. The process is time and labour-intensive, using techniques that have been passed down across generations of artisans. The resultant fabric is extraordinarily soft, breathable and resilient, and also drapes very well. Using handloom cotton not only helps us to work with smaller weavers but also plays an important role in reducing the environmental footprint of the garments we produce.

Cotton silk is a blend of cotton and silk. Clothes made of this fabric are lightweight, soft, breathable, and have an elegant sheen.  This hybrid fabric is especially popular as it can be worn with comfort and ease during both summers and winters.
