This work stages a totemic encounter between the human psyche and a sprouting, hybrid force: a woman’s calm yet searching visage becomes the ground from which a plant-like nervous system climbs, culminating in a horned red mask that reads as both guardian and intruder. The composition is rigorously axial—stem, face, and emblem aligned—while the branching green tendrils introduce restless, looping movement, as if thoughts are proliferating beyond containment. Flat, declarative color fields (ashen gray, water-blue, signal red, acidic yellow) sharpen the image into an icon, where innocence and threat coexist in a single, uncompromising clarity. The pyramidal forms on the horizon and the dotted night-sky texture suggest a mythic landscape, implying that identity here is not fixed but cultivated—an ongoing negotiation between ancestry, instinct, and self-invention.
