





The KARIPOT LARGE clay cooking pot is part of our ceramic cookware range that uses the natural properties of the materials, stone and clay to enhance the cooking experience while preserving the ingredientsβ oils and flavours. The burnishing process makes the cooking surface of KARIPOT naturally non-stick and ideal for slow cooking or one-pot everyday meals. This clay cooking pot can be used on the hob, both gas and electric, and in the oven, and celebrates oven to table style eating.
Rejected Karipots may include hairline cracks, chips and scratches. We recommend you season your pot when it arrives following the instructions below.Β
Seasoning is the process of treating the surface of a cooking vessel to produce a resistant and non-stick cooking surface. To season, add 3-4 table spoons of walnut oil or flax seed oil and rub onto the inside surface of the cookware with a paper towel. Allow it to soak in for 15 minutes and remove any excess.
Preheat oven to max (230-240 or gas mark 8/9) and place your cookware in the oven for 60 minutes. Once complete, turn off your oven and allow your cookware to cool to room temperature before taking it out.Your cookware is now seasoned and ready to use. For the first few uses we recommend using extra oil and always starting on a low flame. Also make sure your cookware is not left empty on a flame as this may cause it to crack.
