This work elevates an ordinary backpack into a quiet monument to endurance, its scuffed surface and softened contours reading like a skin marked by travel, labor, and time. Muted khaki tones hold the form in a subdued stillness, while the rust-red zipper lines carve rhythmic arcs across the body, suggesting both containment and the restless urge to open, reveal, and move on. The tight cropping and near-sculptural lighting compress space around the object, turning absenceβof the wearer, of the journeyβinto the central narrative. What remains is a portrait of carried weight: memory stitched into seams, and survival expressed through wear.
