A hand-tufted wool carpet in blue with Aztec-inspired geometry β the stepped diamond motifs built up in pile across the field. Tufting builds a denser pile than flatweave or knotting: yarn punched into a backing and finished from above, creating depth and weight. The Aztec pattern β bold stepped forms in multicolor against the blue ground β draws from Central American textile traditions but is executed in the Uttar Pradesh carpet belt. Woven in Bhadohi or Mirzapur by carpet artisans working in the tufted carpet tradition. The blue grounds the geometry, suited to interiors where the floor anchors color. 100% wool pile.
