A hand-woven wool dhurrie in red and black stripes β the horizontal bands laid across a flatweave ground in bold contrast. Dhurries are woven flat without pile, lighter than knotted carpets, easier to move and clean. The striped pattern reads graphic and directional, the red and black pairing saturated and high-contrast. Woven in Bhadohi or Mirzapur by dhurrie artisans working in the Uttar Pradesh flatweave tradition. The stripes are structural, built into the warp and weft rather than applied as surface pattern. Suited to contemporary interiors where bold color anchors the floor. 100% wool, flatweave.
