Made of cotton chambray with gorgeous embroidery, contrasting velvet base panel, contrast piping and finished off with a colourful tassel inspired by those seen on the camels of Rajasthan’s Thar Desert, this is a truly special piece. The blue Sufi design is a series of round motifs inspired by Sufi whirling dervishes who seek spirituality by abandoning ego, listening to music, focusing on the divine, and spinning in repetitive circles. Originating with Persian mystics, Sufi dervishes whirl in India, too! This range of wonderful yoga and meditation accessories was brought to life by a dear friend and ex-neighbour of mine in Delhi, who has relocated her company Chattra to that New Age haven of California.
