"Maati ka bartan hai pyaare, maati mein mil jaana ha"...
Humans and the matki, both eventually return to Mother Earth at the end of their lives. This artwork is part of the 'Maati' series, which depicts human emotions while highlighting the humble ‘matki’ (earthen pots made of maati or mud), as the hero. Drawing parallels between ‘us’ and the matki, the artist has portrayed different facets of human life in this series of artworks.
Balance is key to a successful life, and people spend years trying to find the perfect balance in all aspects of their existence. How can we move or perhaps remain in one position, without losing control or falling? Life sends many temptations our way - inciting us to seek momentary pleasure. But it is important for our mind to maintain balance and composure, so that we are in control of our body and actions, and not the other way around.
