



Two mask-like visages, rendered in smoky monochrome and etched with rhythmic, fingerprint-like whorls, confront each other in a tense near-embrace, as if identity is being negotiated rather than revealed. The severe geometry and blade-like vertical seams slice through the faces, turning expression into architecture and suggesting the fractures that hold a persona together. Against a field of warm ochre and amber, the cool chiaroscuro becomes more poignantβshadowed interiors press forward while the background glows like a distant memory, framing the figures as both intimate and estranged. The work reads as a meditation on duality: the public face and the private self hovering in uneasy alignment, forever close yet slightly misregistered.
