This work reads like a weathered seascape broken into two relic-like panels, where bands of saturated turquoise press against ochres and blacks, as if tide and earth are locked in slow, perpetual negotiation. The upper field holds a half-submerged discβsun or moonβits glow muffled by sedimented layers that suggest memory buried beneath accrual and erosion. Below, the surface ruptures into creases and torn edges, turning paint into topography and making the image feel excavated rather than painted, a fragment pulled from a coastline of time. The restrained palette amplifies the emotional tension: luminous blue as breath and possibility, countered by mineral browns that speak of gravity, loss, and endurance.
