Originally a turban craft rooted in the celebration of monsoon, Laheriya is a tie-dye tradition from Rajasthan. The animation inherent in dyed stripes results in a sense of movement akin to rainfall.
βDausaβ green kota silk sari features gulabi pink and natural stripes in a daigonal or 'adiya' (from the word 'adha' meaning askew) layout. It is punctuated with floral butas drawing from archival Rajasthani textiles, zardozi embroidered with gold zari.
This handwoven textile reflects natural variations within yarn, color, weave and/or embroidery.
The sari is paired here with the 'Gulshan' blouse.
Blouse is not included.
