Rust-Oleum Nano Shield Rapid Cure

Nano Shield Rapid Cure is a specially formulated catalyzed floor finish system enhanced with nano technology to provide excellent scuff, scratch and chemical resistance. Rapid Cure is suitable for commercial hardwood floors and other interior wood surfaces that require a fast return to service. Rapid Cure is ready for light traffic in 24 hours and is fully cured for normal use in 48 hours.

NOTE: It is not allowed to send this item through air mode. Surface mode is enabled for the same. Thus, shipping will be done through surface.

How to Apply Nano Shield Rapid Cure

Surface Preparation

Surface must be clean, dry, and free from old finish, wax, grease and dust. For best results, follow NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) accepted sanding procedure. Remove all sanding dust with a vacuum and wipe clean with a lint-free cloth.

Staining Surface - For rich color and clarity, use Nano Shield Fast Dry Floor Stains. Allow stain to dry a minimum of 2 hours. Darker colors may require longer dry times. Dry times will vary due to temperature and humidity. When using alternate oil based stain products, follow the manufacturer’s dry time before applying Nano Shield Rapid Cure. Always prepare a test sample to determine stain and finish compatibility and adhesion.

Rapid Cure System - Unfinished wood must be sealed with Nano Shield Fast Dry Stain, Nano Shield Sealer, or Universal Sealer. Once the surface has been sealed, apply two coats of Nano Shield Rapid Cure Finish (Satin or Semi-Gloss) or three coats of Rapid Cure Gloss. Do not apply more than two coats of finish per day.

Application

Use when temperatures are between 60-80°F (16-27°C) and the relative humidity is less than 85%. Apply activated Nano Shield Rapid Cure using a paint pad or light weight T-bar. Apply in the direction of the wood grain, pulling toward you in smooth, level strokes. Apply even coats at a rate of approximately 400 square feet per gallon. Maintain a wet edge at all times. Allow the product to dry 1-2 hours. Longer dry times may be required for high humidity or low temperature. Thinner coats will speed dry and cure times.
