A hand-woven wool dhurrie in black with dot kilim pattern β the dots laid across a flatweave ground in graphic repetition. Dhurries are woven flat without pile, lighter than knotted carpets, easier to move and clean. The dot pattern reads contemporary and restrained, the kilim technique building each dot as a discrete motif woven into the ground. Woven in Bhadohi or Mirzapur by dhurrie artisans working in the Uttar Pradesh flatweave tradition. The black-on-black tonal work reads monochrome but gains depth from the texture of the woven dots. Suited to contemporary interiors where pattern needs to stay quiet. 100% wool, flatweave.
