A hand-tufted wool carpet in the Serapi vocabulary, the large geometric medallion and bordered field worked in pile across a multicolour ground. The dense construction gives the medallion structural weight β the pattern reads as an organised composition rather than scattered ornament.
Serapi rugs come from the Heriz region of northwest Iran, where weavers developed a coarser, more architectural form of Persian rug-making β broader motifs, bolder colour, a geometric reduction of the classical floral vocabulary. Here that visual language is built up in tufted wool. Works in dining rooms, drawing rooms, and studies where the rug needs to anchor a composition rather than recede into it.
Made in India in 100% wool, hand-tufted for an architectural pile suited to the Serapi pattern's structural scale. The medallion-and-border construction stays legible from across a room.
