This work stages a quiet confrontation between solidity and dissolution, where blocklike, ochre-green forms rise like weathered monoliths only to be abraded by veils of scraped pigment and smoky, interrupted line. The composition compresses space into a shallow, suspended field, letting heavy vertical masses anchor the eye while faint horizontal smears and etched marks suggest a horizon that keeps slipping out of certainty. Light is not depicted so much as excavated—yellow glints and bruised blues emerge from beneath the surface, turning the painting into a record of time, erosion, and the stubborn persistence of structure amid continual fading. In its restrained palette and tactile scars, the piece reads as an archaeology of memory: presence asserted, then partially erased, leaving meaning to flicker in what remains unsaid.
